Denny’s Canada launches a new model of delivery and ordering powered by Smooth Commerce and DoorDash Drive During Wake of Pandemic
VANCOUVER, June 10, 2020 – Denny’s Canada has responded to the needs of today’s environment by launching their new web ordering and delivery platform for most locations in Canada, powered by Smooth Commerce and DoorDash Drive. The platform was fully rolled out in a few weeks as Denny’s, and many other restaurants, quickly pivoted their business model to be primarily Take-Out and Delivery during the wake of COVID-19.
Now at Dennys.ca, customers can place orders for pick-up and delivery with a personalized and seamless experience, while enjoying valuable perks such as discounts, offers and contests. Since its initial launch in April, the platform already has over 13,000 users. To thank customers for their continued support, Denny’s will be providing free delivery and 20% off food orders, topped with weekly prizes, for the first 3,000 orders placed through Dennys.ca this month.
“The partnership between Smooth Commerce and DoorDash Drive has been instrumental in providing us with a cost-optimized solution,” said Deborah Gagnon, President and COO of Denny’s Canada. “In a short time, we’ve already benefited from a significant return on our investment in the platform.”
“At Smooth Commerce, we understand how important it is for brands to connect with their customers, especially during this difficult time,” said Brian Deck, CEO of Smooth Commerce. “We are committed to helping brands like Denny’s reach their customers with a solution that’s friendly to their bottom line.”
“As shelter-in-place orders start to slowly lift around the country and restaurants begin to welcome guests back into their dining rooms, we remain focused on helping our restaurant partners navigate what comes next. For DoorDash, it’s more important than ever to provide restaurants with the tools to reach their customers in a cost-effective and meaningful way,” said Ryan Freeman, Head of Enterprise Partnerships at DoorDash. “DoorDash Drive offers a streamlined solution that allows restaurants to own their customer relationships while driving incremental business for our customers.”
Denny’s web ordering provides Canadians with their favourite food, from pancakes, to omelettes, to sandwiches, in just a few clicks. Check it out at Dennys.ca.
